MANNA FROM HEAVEN?Honest Ed

Recently Polticians from the provinces have exposed the Governments plan to influence the outcome of elections by giving bags stuffed with money. Five hundred thousand was the amount exposed by ex-priest now Governor Among Ed Panlilio and this was purportedly to be used to buy votes.

While such a move was hailed by a lot of people as an honest move I wonder "How come out of a hundreds if not thousand of politicians who were given money only a few came out to expose it?"
Wala ba silang natanggap? O as always patay malisya anyway lilipas din and makakalimutan.

Such is the sorry state of Philippine politics here in Manila. While others come out to expose the growing cancer of this society the system label them as idiots who wouldn't accept money in exchange for their pride and dignity.

This is the quality of the "NEW FILIPINOS" which we are trying to expose to the world in the hope that people will try to affect some change. People who are principled enough to come out and say what is the right thing based on 'TRUTH ANd EQUALITY"

Corruptions after corruptions daily in our Filipino lives happen and "WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT?" NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We sit down in street corners and talk about it over a bottle of beer or ginebra and cast aspersions on its characters. We label the characters in the story and by the time it is daybreak and after our drunken state we go home and sleep the fantasy over. We wake up in the morning
and forget about it as if "the corruption never happened'
